Before the World Wakes Up

Before the World Wakes Up

Before the World Wakes Up 🌙🧶✨

There’s something about the quiet hours before sunrise that I always fall in love with again.

This morning started with soft rain outside, birds chirping long before the sun fully came up, a warm cup of coffee in my hands, and crochet in my lap while the rest of the world still felt half asleep. After juggling so many things lately, this kind of peaceful morning felt especially needed.

Life has felt busy in that strange way where it isn’t always loud, but your mind still feels full all the time. Between managing Serenity Crochet, updating listings, organizing new products, posting content, answering messages, planning future projects, and trying to keep up with everyday life, I’ve been carrying a lot mentally lately. So this morning, I decided not to rush myself.

Just coffee. Yarn. Quiet. Breathing room.

The project currently in my lap is the Serenity Bloom Top, one of the designs I’ve slowly been bringing to life piece by piece. Watching it grow row by row has been one of those gentle reminders that beautiful things don’t have to happen all at once. Sometimes creativity unfolds slowly, and that’s okay.

At the same time, my little apartment has been full of so many other projects lately too. New coaster sets, soft head wraps, mandala blankets growing in circles of color, and all the tiny behind-the-scenes moments that come with running a handmade business. Some days my space feels less like an apartment and more like a little yarn-filled creative sanctuary with skeins, hooks, coffee mugs, and works in progress scattered everywhere 🌿✨

And honestly? I love it.

I love the process just as much as the finished pieces. I love choosing colors, photographing projects, updating my shop, watching people browse my website, and seeing something handmade find its way into someone else’s home. There’s something incredibly meaningful about building a creative life slowly and intentionally.

I think we all forget sometimes that life doesn’t always have to move at full speed to be meaningful. Some of the most beautiful moments are the quiet ones… soft rain outside the window, warm lamp light, familiar routines, creating with your hands, and allowing yourself to simply exist peacefully for a little while.

Wherever this morning finds you, I hope you make space for something gentle today, even if it’s something small 💙
