About Serenity Crochet

Crochet artist sitting in a cozy chair holding a handmade textured blanket in earthy tones, with a multicolored yarn cake on a wooden side table nearby.

Hi, I’m Nichole Schneider — the hands, creative spark, and slightly yarn-obsessed brain behind Serenity Crochet.

I learned how to crochet when I was 10 years old… that was 33 years ago now, which honestly feels a little wild to say out loud. What started as something my mom and grandma taught me turned into something I never really put down.

At this point, yarn and I are basically in a long-term relationship.

Some of you might remember my shop as Cloud 9 Crochet Shop. I rebranded to Serenity Crochet because it felt like a better reflection of where I am now — calmer, more focused, and a little more aligned with the kind of work I love creating.

Same hands, same creativity… just a name that fits better.

I don’t mass-produce anything. Every piece you see here is made by me, start to finish — one stitch at a time.

And I don’t really do “basic.”

I love bold colors, detailed stitch work, and pieces that stand out — whether that’s a mandala blanket, a crochet top, or something a little quirky and unexpected. If it makes someone stop and say “wait… that’s crochet?” then I’ve done my job.

A quick note about patterns (because I like to be transparent):

Right now, most of the items you see are made using patterns from incredibly talented designers — both free and paid — because I believe in supporting the crochet community as much as I can.

But… that’s about to change.

I’m currently working on creating and testing my own original patterns, and I’ll be releasing them soon. So if you love what you see here, there’s more coming — not just finished pieces, but patterns you can make yourself too.

No two pieces I make are ever exactly the same. Even when I follow the same pattern, the colors, the tension, and the tiny details all shift just enough to make each piece its own.

That’s the beauty of handmade. It’s not factory-perfect… it’s real.

Serenity Crochet isn’t a big brand or a factory.

It’s just me, a hook, a lot of yarn… and a brain that refuses to stop creating.

If you’ve made it this far — thank you. Seriously.

Whether you’re here to browse, support, or just see what I come up with next, I’m really glad you’re here 💙
